Massimo Monti

Principal and Chief Executive Officer

Mr Monti has over 20 years experience in the Investment Business and has provided exceptional leadership and management skills throughout his career. He became a Partner of Rasini & C. SA in 1993. Before joining Rasini, Mr Monti was managing industrial and commercial companies for Arner S.A., Lugano, the LBO of Re.Ca. and Yamaha, Italy, as Chief Executive Officer and/or Chairman of the Board for six years. Prior to that, he was the Portfolio Manager/Equity Analyst for Banca del Ceresio for five years and has also worked as an Account Officer within Corporate Finance at Illinois National Bank and Trust.

Mr Monti has an MBA in International Business and Finance from the University of Durham, New Hampshire. He has also published the first Italian book on Hedge Funds in 1995.

Karim Leguel

Principal and Chief Investment Officer

Mr Leguel is responsible for managing the Fund of Funds and the Research Team and is instrumental in driving the strategic initiatives of the Company in determining which direction the company should take to best suit its Clients. He Joined Rasini & C. in 1997 as a Research Associate in hedge funds, covering both qualitative and quantitative analyses. Prior to joining Rasini, Mr Leguel was an Account Manager at BSI (a subsidiary of Swiss Bank Corp. with over Sfr 30 billion under management) for two years, where he managed Private Banking Client accounts in Equity, Bond and Currency Allocations. In addition to this, he also worked within the Asset Allocation Group and was a Credit Analyst at UBAE Bank in Rome.

Mr Leguel received his MBA from Bocconi Business School and holds a BSc in Business Economics from London University.

The Key decision-makers are Karim Leguel and Massimo Monti. Mr Leguel combines the role of Portfolio Manager and Bottom-Up Analyst, while Mr Monti is responsible for Top-Down Strategic solutions.

Martino Orombelli

Principal and Chief Operating Officer

Mr Orombelli joined Rasini & C. in 1997 as a Director and is now responsible for Business Development and Marketing Operations for the Company. He is equipped with over 20 years experience under his belt from various financial institutions and cultures. Prior to joining Rasini, he was a Treasurer for American Express in Milan and Paris for two years. He was also employed in a similar capacity with Societe Generale in Milan and Banque Indosuez in Paris, within their Corporate Finance and Asset Management teams.

Mr Orombelli graduated from Columbia University, New York, with an MBA and from Bocconi University in Milan, with a degree in Economics.
